Mr Ka Chai Hau (Kason) is a passionate physiotherapist dedicated to delivering patient-centred care to work on each individual’s ability to move and take control of their body. He strongly believes that all patients are athletes and is committed to helping them thrive in the activities they love.
Kason completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours Class I) at the University of Queensland. He is now a practising physiotherapist with a special interest in treating acute and chronic neck and back pain, as well as endurance sporting injuries.
During his training, Kason gained broad clinical experience across trauma, musculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory physiotherapy, as well as neurological rehabilitation, within the public healthcare system. He has also attained experience in sports physiotherapy, having worked as a physiotherapist with the Smiling for Smiddy’s Snowies Mountain Endurance Cycling Challenge, where he provided acute sporting injury management and supported the optimisation of athletes’ performance.
Kason has further experience working with various rugby union, volleyball and basketball teams at Brisbane Boys’ College as a sports trainer. He also enjoys teaching the next generation of physiotherapists, having established a physiotherapy tutoring program for students at the University of Queensland.
Kason’s treatment approach combines both active and passive interventions. He believes that a holistic approach, which integrates manual therapy, exercise rehabilitation and patient education, can enhance recovery outcomes.
Kason is experienced in endurance sports training and in developing sports-specific exercise programs, combining personal experience with the latest evidence-based research. Committed to lifelong learning, Kason consistently stays up to date with emerging research and trends.
Outside the clinic, Kason leads an adventurous lifestyle. He enjoys rock climbing and bouldering and is deeply passionate about endurance sports, having completed full marathons and currently training for an ultramarathon.
